HI 6300 Series Weight Processor

The HI 6300 series of weight processors are engineered to provide accurate, stable and repeatable weight, while striking the optimum balance between price and application flexibility.

The HI 6300 series can be used as a standalone weight processor or as the front-end to a weight-based control system. The instrument reads, conditions, and digitizes load cell and strain gauge signals commonly found in process weighing applications, including inventory management, batching, blending, filling, dispensing, and check weighing. iTEMP TMT85 FOUNDATION Fieldbus -Temperature Transmitter with major enhancements

Endress+Houser now offers Temperature transmitter with device revision 2, is one of the 1st temperature device on the market with FF-912 compatibility. Furthermore, the new revision offers higher performance and the possibility to simulate diagnostic messages.

What is FF-912 good for?

Devices with FF-912 do support diagnostics functionality according to the NAMUR NE107 recommendation and make maintenance much easier.

Because diagnostic messages are categorized in 4 different levels and show the impact of malfunctions at first sight. Doing so, diagnostic messages do not have to be someway reallocated, but can be addressed directly to the responsible staff members without causing delays. In addition, performance of the TMT85 has been drastically improved by speeding up execution times of all function blocks and optimizing link setting timings.

Last, but not least, simulation of diagnostic messages can be performed now in order to test possible scenarios without the need to manipulate the hardware.

Siemens offers Redundant Networking for Simatic CP 443-1 RNA offers via PRP

The Siemens Industry Automation Division has expanded its portfolio for RNA (Redundant Network Access) components with a communications processor which facilitates high-availability connection of the Simatic S7-400 controller to networks. Simatic CP 443-1 RNA utilizes the Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP) in accordance with the IEC 62439-3 standard. The communications processor features two RJ45 ports for connecting two parallel Industrial Ethernet networks. The CP 443-1 RNA doubles the frame and feeds it into the two connected networks. The network access point on the receiver side relays the first incoming frame to the addressees and discards the later frame.

Simatic CP 443-1 RNA is designed among other things for use in process industry plants and power generation and distribution applications. The new communications processor supports open communication via TCP/IP, UDP and the ISO transport protocol as well as S7, PG/OP and S7 H communication for S7-400 H systems. Data can be transmitted in full or half-duplex mode in bandwidths of 10 or 100 Mbit/s. The user can view diagnostics information via SNMP, STEP 7 or the Web server of the communications processor.
