ANTARESplus is BARTEC’s response to industry’s requirements for more economic efficiency, convenience and flexibility in bus systems. The new remote I/O system is installed directly in the hazardous area and offers the same convenience as systems in the non-hazardous area in the minimum of space.
System Design:
- RCU (Rail-Control-Unit)
The RCU is the central head unit in the ANTARESplus system and accommodates the data processing, power management and an Ethernet switch. Innovative interlocking technology ensures a stable and safe connection.
- Remote I/O-Module
Different ANTARESplus modules offer a lot of possibilities. Just join them together and the connection is secure, even over several mounting rails. Standard mounting rails will suffice; complex bus rails are no longer necessary.
Other Features:
- Efficient Power Pack
- Genuine Redundancy
- Hot-Swap Function
- Intuitive Project Planning
- Multi-functional Remote I/O system

Omron introduces Switch Mode Power Supply S8EX. New S8EX Series of Switch-mode Power Supply Boards:
The Yokogawa DTSX200 distributed temperature sensor (DTS) is used to monitor temperature, leaks, and flow in oil/gas downhole, pipeline, LNG/refinery tank/reactor vessel, fire detection, and other industrial thermal applications. Released in October 2011, the DTSX200 is the distributed temperature sensor with a STARDOM field controller option to improve production efficiency by working together with production control systems. The DTSX200 is being field tested for oil/gas in-well applications by some major oil companies. The DTSX200 is also being proposed for pipeline and tank leak detection systems.
